The Beauty of Massage Therapy

Contact me for workshops on aromatherapy, breath and stretching for health, and somatics (relationship of the body and the mind).

Cold and Flu Season - For your precaution then I am offering several tips:

1. At the first sign of cold and flu, take plenty of Echinacea herb which you can buy almost anywhere. Follow recommended directions. Vitamin C is also recommended.

2. Keep a bottle of citrus essential oils available. One of the citrus oils orange, lemon, grapefruit and such, sprinkled onto a cotton ball or handkerchief and whiffed occasionally when in crowds will help kill any viral, or bacterial stuff that wants to get into the body through the sinus airway.

3. If you are feeling badly, you can grate one Spanish onion and one Gingerroot up together in a bowl, sprinkle with sea salt and allow to fume. Put your head over the bowl tented in a towel and breath this. The onion is a natural antibiotic and the ginger opens the sinus. The salt is the catalyst for the fumes to rise. Breath over the bowl. When you are done, you can sauté this and add meat or vegetables for a ginger stirfry! No waste!

4. Most important keep your hands washed regularly.

5. If you have an appointment scheduled and you think you have any sign of illness, please be courteous and reschedule in order to not spread germs to me or other clients. Please be assured that the massage table headset is cleaned with alcohol for sanitation between clients.

6. Drink plenty of liquids to keep from dehydration. Green tea is an excellent antioxidant.

Thank you for your time in reading this information. Should you have any questions, please contact me via email or phone. This information is only a suggestion based on research others have done which might help you ease the cold and flu season.
